BONN, Germany – The 4C Code of Conduct has been in place for six years, and the time has come to do a second revision, taking into account the lessons learnt so far as well as the current needs of those working with the Code. We plan to publish the new version of the 4C Code of Conduct at the end of 2014.
The 4C Association has an open and transparent procedure, based on the ISEAL Code of Good Practice for Standard Setting (see www.iseal-alliance.org ), and aims for the significant and balanced participation of coffee stakeholders, contributing with input and decision making.
The timeline for the revised version of the 4C Code of Conduct is as follows:
- First consultation: January – February 2014
- Second consultation: Mid 2014
- Publication of revised version: End of 2014
- Effective as of: Mid 2015
Take a look at the Work in Progress document, which includes details of the objectives of the 4C Code of Conduct revision, and the reasons why we are creating this new version.
There is also the opportunity for you, as a stakeholder, to participate. Please share your comments with us. Your feedback is very important!
Comments or suggestions on the Work in Progress document can be sent before October 10th, 2013 to Juan Isaza, Standards Manager at juan.isaza@4C-coffeeassociation.org
