PORTLAND, Oregon, US – Diedrich Roasters and Firedancer Coffee Consultants are proud to announce a new digital one-day educational and community event called Coffee Roasting Forumto be held on May 20, 2021. The event will offer educational sessions, online banking and networking opportunities for the coffee roaster community. Lectures will include coffee chemistry, exploration of roasting profiles of various processing methods, Covid-19 and the specialty coffee chain, as well as a session on the state of the coffee industry presented by Rick Reinhart, former executive director of the Specialty Coffee Association.
According to Karl Schmidt, CEO of Diedrich Roasters, “Diedrich Roasters and Firedancer Consulting decided to host an online event to bring the coffee industry together. The past year has been a difficult time for our industry due to the interruption of Covid-19.
In order to communicate and share ideas with our clients and coffee lovers, we had to find different ways and approaches to facilitate and keep the conversation going through different channels.
Didrich chose this place to communicate and collaborate with some of our colleagues and industry partners to share and address some of the important topics and issues we face as a community. ”
