TRIESTE (Italy) – Eighty-four percent of visitors have an active role in purchasing decisions. The added value of TriestEspresso Expo can therefore be led back to this figure. The most important B2B event focused on the espresso coffee production chain, organized by Aries – Trieste Chamber of Commerce – in collaboration with Assocaffe Trieste, is back for its seventh edition from 23 to 25 October 2014 in Trieste, Italy.
Edition after edition, the biennial trade fair has built up a strong reputation with the sector, reaching a record figure of 10 thousand professionals at the last edition in 2012, establishing itself as a not-to-be-missed event for presenting and discovering the latest developments on the market, with 65% of visitors looking for new products or suppliers.
Trieste and the new location It is no coincidence that this important event for the sector is taking place in Trieste, home to a highly specialized industrial cluster, with almost the entire coffee production chain being represented: logistics, roasting, decaffeination R&D… The outcome of a long tradition, which dates back to the 18th century, when Trieste was the most important port of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. The seventh edition of TriestEspresso Expo will bring the aroma of coffee to the Old Port, at the heart of a new location, right next to the warehouses where the sacks of coffee were stored in the past.
International showcase “TriestEspresso Expo brings to Trieste the biggest players of the sector from 85 countries,” comments Antonio Paoletti, president of the Chamber of Commerce and Aries. Four out of ten visitors are foreign, and of these, two are coming from the new markets of Central and Eastern Europe, followed closely by Western Europe, Australasia and the Americas. “One of the most striking aspects,” commented Vanusia Nogueira, CEO of BSCA-Brazil Specialty Coffee Association, “is the number of visitors from other countries, which means that TriestEspresso really is an international event”.
The quality of espresso coffee Producers of roasted coffee, coffee machines, machinery, accessories and services: the best of made in Italy and beyond will be presented with the latest developments at TriestEspresso. Of course there will be no shortage producers of green coffee from the most important areas of production.
