SEATTLE – Jeremy Moore of Bonlife Coffee in Cleveland, TN won the 2014 United States AeroPress Championship in Seattle on April 25th.

Twenty competitors from around the United States, competing in heats, brewed coffee using AeroPress coffee makers for three judges. The judges agreed that Moore consistently brewed the tastiest cup. Brendon Glidden of Onyx Coffee Lab in Springdale, AR took second place and Andrew Bettis of Velo Coffee in Chattanooga, TN took third place.

Moore also won a ticket to Rimini, Italy to compete in the 2014 World AeroPress Championship held on the 9th of June.

The World AeroPress Championship, now in its seventh year, is a grass roots event which has grown to two dozen regional and national competitions worldwide.

Past World Championships have taken place in Melbourne, Portland (OR), London, Milan, and Oslo (twice).

The Championship was founded in 2008 by world-famous coffee experts Tim Wendelboe and Tim Varney in Oslo, Norway.

The AeroPress is a compact coffee maker which produces one to four cups of coffee in one minute. It uses a unique process in which coffee grounds are fully immersed in water, then pressed through a micro-filter. It was introduced in 2005 and has become the highest-rated coffee maker on the internet. It is made in California and sold in 56 countries.
