VIENNA – Faemina, the latest coffee machine from the Gruppo Cimbali, celebrated
its Austrian début at this year’s Vienna Coffee Festival, which ended yesterday to great acclaim. With the elegant Faema brand espresso machine, for the first time in its 100-year history the Gruppo Cimbali is bringing exquisite coffee enjoyment directly to the home and to small niche businesses.
This makes the Faemina the latest must-have for lovers premium coffee
— and thanks to its elegance and minimalist form, it is a true designer item. This year’s Vienna Coffee Festival took place from 8 to 10 October 2021 and included a many-faceted program displaying the fascinating world of coffee. The festive event was attended by many visitors, included live music and cuisine.
The Gruppo Cimbali was also there with still other premium coffee machines, including:
– La Cimbali S60, the first automatic coffee machine that both looks and feels like a traditional model
– Slayer Espresso Single Group, which combines design and innovation
– Slayer Steam LPx, with its highly polished chrome wings and unique colour selection.
As a sponsor of the 2021 Vienna Coffee Festival, the Gruppo Cimbali, and its range of professional coffee machines, was an important part of the event’s greatly diverse programme. Among other things, Faemina sponsored the Village of Speciality Coffee, where local roasters and their friends ground coffee and discussed the issues of supply chain and sustainability. In addition, the S60 came to the Mumac Academy, which offered workshops for optimal coffee preparation attended by both coffee fans and culinary professionals. These were held by micro-roasters like Wien Kaffee, Felix Kaffee and De Lukes Kaffee.
Gruppo Cimbali
Gruppo Cimbali is a leader in developing and manufacturing professional machines for espresso and milk-based beverages, and for equipping cafés and caterers. The group owns the brands La Cimbali, Faema, Slayer and Casadio. It has three production facilities in Italy and one in the United States (in Seattle, where Slayer brand machines are made) and employs about 700 people in total. The group’s passion and commitment to espresso
culture and the “Made in Italy” designation led to the 2012 founding of MUMAC — Museo della Macchina per Caffè: It is the first and most comprehensive permanent exhibition of the history, world and culture of espresso machines and is at the Cimbali Group’s headquarters in Binasco, near Milan, Italy. MUMAC hosts the MUMAC Academy, the Cimbali Group’s coffee machine academy — a training, promotion and research centre.
