MILAN, Italy – Gruppo Cimbali, an Italian company that is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of professional espresso machines, will be present at Sigep 2022 from 12 to 16 March at a single stand with all its four brands – LaCimbali, Faema, Slayer and Casadio – and with various new products, services and initiatives.
During the five-day event, Gruppo Cimbali will illustrate the new approach initiated in the last year and focused on innovation, sustainability and digitalisation as the cornerstones of the company’s evolution.
Drawing on its own experience and careful research, the company has worked with determination to create products based on cutting-edge, sustainable technologies that improve the performance of machines, limit their environmental impact and enhance professionals’ skills.
“We are delighted to be back at Sigep because this is another important sign that the sector is starting to recover and that all of us, working with passion and determination, can be a driving force for change,” comments Enrico Bracesco, General Manager of Gruppo Cimbali.
“We are participating in this event to present not only the new products for all our brands, but above all Gruppo Cimbali’s new approach to business, which is increasingly oriented towards sustainable innovation that creates added value for consumers and professionals.”
As an official partner of SCA Italy, Faema sees its President GTI – a timeless machine that perfectly blends quality, ergonomics and innovation – sponsor the finals of the Italian Barista Championships for 2022-2023.
Once again, the company is promoting the spread of authentic coffee culture and this partnership in particular represents further confirmation of the support that Gruppo Cimbali, along with its brands, has always given professionals and future talents in the sector. The winner of the championship will be awarded with the new Faema Touch and Match home/prosumer grinder.
Sigep is also an important occasion to discuss sustainability, a fundamental value for Gruppo Cimbali, which has started to develop its own eco-friendly policies, not limiting itself to production processes, but with a broader vision of the entire sector. During the fair, the work carried out in this regard will be presented on the LaCimbali brand, and first and foremost on the M200, the top-of-the-range espresso machine, a product in which cutting-edge design, increasingly advanced technology and superior quality guarantee an excellent cup of coffee.
M200 is a perfect example of the company’s commitment to being sustainable in every respect. Through the LCA (Life Cycle Assessment), Gruppo Cimbali has assessed the environmental impact associated with the machine by examining its entire life cycle: this has made it possible to identify sustainable solutions, opting for low-impact materials that are more than 80% recyclable and reducing plastic elements.
Moreover, in-house laboratory tests have shown that the new M200 enables significant energy savings in terms of overall consumption in both Ready to Use and Energy Saving modes. In particular, thanks to the introduction of a new independent boiler thermal system, consumption for initial heating, i.e. to bring the machine from cold to Ready to Use mode (to operating temperature), has been dramatically reduced (-40%).
The new M200 also features an Energy Saving mode that reduces machine consumption at times of low productivity – for example, by switching off one or more coffee groups – by almost 50%. The result is a much more efficient product that is an excellent aid for baristas and professionals.
The company is also promoting an attractive initiative to support professionals: anyone who has owned an M100 for more than 5 years and wishes to exchange it for an M200 will receive a 1,000 euro discount.
In terms of products, Gruppo Cimbali will be bringing a number of espresso machines to Sigep 2022 that are revolutionising how the world’s most popular drink is prepared: not only machines for baristas, such as the new Faemina, but also machines designed for commercial premises where coffee is not the core business, as well as for those who want to enjoy a high-quality coffee experience at home.
During the 43rd edition of Sigep, there will also be a focus on espresso coffee culture with a busy calendar of events organised by the trainers and ambassadors of the MUMAC Academy, in collaboration with some of the most influential figures in the industry, exploring the latest developments concerning the world’s most popular drink through the four brands’ machines.

The Group’s commitment to promoting espresso culture and the local area led to the foundation of MUMAC (Coffee Machine Museum) in 2012, the first and largest permanent exhibition dedicated to the history, world and culture of espresso machines, located at the Gruppo Cimbali headquarters in Binasco. MUMAC is home to MUMAC Academy, Gruppo Cimbali’s coffee machine academy, a training, promotion and research centre.
