TORONTO, Canada – Starting today, McDonald’s guests across Canada can order a hot McCafé Premium Roast Coffee or Tea using their own clean reusable travel mug when ordering at the Front Counter in restaurant and receive a $0.10 discount on their beverage.

This is the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic began that McDonald’s Canada is re-introducing the Reusable Travel Mug policy in all 1,400+ restaurants nationwide.

In March 2020, McDonald’s Canada introduced the Reusable Travel Mug policy across the country for hot McCafé Premium Roast Coffee and Tea

Following the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, the policy was suspended to prioritize the health and wellbeing of crew and guests.

The Reusable Travel Mug policy for hot Premium Roast Coffee and Tea is limited to orders placed via Front Counter.

A guest cannot use a reusable travel mug for orders placed in the Drive-Thru, at the kiosk, on the McDonald’s mobile app, or through McDelivery.

Accepting guests’ clean reusable travel mugs in restaurants across the country delivers on McDonald’s Canada’s guests’ expectations and is in keeping with the spirit of McDonald’s global packaging goals.
