CHICAGO – The first online silent auction for the National Automatic Merchandising Association’s Foundation is officially open for bidding, according to Lindsey Nelson, NAMA’s executive director of development and the Foundation.
The auction runs through Nov. 12. It features a diverse selection of items that bidders can browse and place bids via the auction website. The online system allows bidders to set automatic bids, track bids and more. The NAMA Foundation’s silent auction will have a presence at this year’s Coffee, Tea & Water conference (CTW) in Dallas and host a live auction of three big-ticket items on Nov. 12; however, the auction is open to all interested parties via the website.
“Since you do not need to attend CTW to participate, we hope members and non-members alike will browse and bid our catalog of dozens of items for both business and personal use,” said Karen Webster, NAMA Board member and Chair of the Foundation Committee.
“The silent auction is a great way to purchase business services and products or to even get an early jump on your holiday shopping, at prices that you are not going to see elsewhere.”
Unique and highly coveted items include a week at a vacation home, an exotic car driving experience, sports memorabilia, and business services like advertising space, and consulting and design services.
“As an added benefit, all proceeds support ongoing industry advocacy, research and educational scholarships that are funded annually by the NAMA Foundation,” Nelson said.
