MANDEVILLE, La. – Think the term “paint and sip” only relates to wine? Guess again. Having already staked its claim as the first and largest paint-and-sip franchise in the U.S., Painting with a Twist is now the first in the marketplace to offer guests premium coffee, along with daytime classes titled Coffee and Canvas. inviting new clientele into the studios and enhancing the overall experience for one of the newest forms of art entertainment.
Through a partnership with PJ’s Coffee of New Orleans, Painting with a Twist studios nationwide can now provide guests a complimentary Louisiana tradition while they paint. Small batch roasted in New Orleans and recognized as the area’s most beloved coffee brand, PJ’s Coffee is a natural addition to the Painting with a Twist concept, company executives say.
“We have always been recognized as a great place for a night out with art and spirits, but now we can also offer guests a great way to start their day with art and coffee,” said Renee Maloney, Painting with a Twist Co-Founder. “As a PJ’s Coffee lover myself, I am thrilled to expand our offerings to the more than 19,000 guests our studios welcome each week.”
Since first announced in August, more than 30 percent of Painting with a Twist’s franchise locations have taken advantage of the PJ’s Coffee partnership and incorporated Coffee and Canvas into class schedules, including Marvin and Leslie Gay, who have been testing Coffee and Canvas classes for the past three months in their Florida studios.
“It’s great to offer guests the option to BYOB while making another beverage option available,” said Marvin Gay. “Whether coming in for a morning class or taking a coffee to go after an evening class, having the addition of coffee adds another element to the Painting with a Twist experience that our competitors just don’t have. Not to mention, the aroma that fills the studio is invigorating.”
At Painting with a Twist, guests come together to experience a unique ‘getaway’ that includes friends, paint and the option to BYOB. Led by local art instructors, guests paint on bare canvases using paint and brushes provided by the studio. There are more than 4,000 original pieces of copyrighted artwork, ranging from landscapes, abstracts and cityscapes, to creative renderings of animals, iconic buildings and florals, which have all been conceptualized and produced by Painting with a Twist art instructors.
