MELBOURNE, Australia – The third day of the World Barista Championship and World Brewers Cup competitions ended today in Melbourne. As always, we followed the aspiring coffee champions in live streaming. For the World Barista Championship tournament, the following coffee experts competed in the semi-finals: Takayuki Ishitani (Japan), Morgan Eckroth (United States), Boram Um (Brazil), Kévin David (France), Claire Wallace (United Kingdom), Patrik Rolf (Sweden), Nikos Antzaras (Greece), Junior Vargas Otero (Austria), Jasper de Waal (Netherlands), Keith Koay (Malaisia), Benjamin Put (Canada), Rui Pedrosa (Portugal), Abdullah Almasan (Saudi Arabia), Michaela Ruazol-Recera (United Arab Emirates) and Anthony Douglas (Australia).
The winners of the World Barista Championship and World Brewers Cup semi-finals in Melbourne
Matteo Pavoni, despite having managed to access the semi-finals thanks to his performance in the first round on 27 September, unfortunately did not manage to qualify for the final competition.
Below are the names of the winners who will enter the final stage of the World Barista Championship:

The end of the World Brewers Cup Compulsory & Open Service also took place today and the winners who get to access to the finals have been announced. Martin Woelfl (Austria), Zou Yang (China), Lex Wenneker (Netherlands), Harry Ko (Australia), Cesar Ospina Tamayo (Colombia), Simen Andersen (Norway), Ben Put (Canada), Regine Wai Yee competed today Beng (Malaisia), David Disuanco (United Arab Emirates), Elika Liftee (United States), Hikaru Ono (Japan), Viviane Jucker (Switzerland), Adán Gutiérrez (Mexico), Tomas Taussig (Czech Republic), Shih Yuan Hsu (Taiwan) .
Giacomo Vannelli despite an excellent preparation was unable to make it to the final. The winners who will compete in the World Brewers Cup final are:

- Jhon Christhoper, Indonesia
- Simen Andersen, Norway
- Elika Liftee, United States
- Tomas Taussig, Czech Republic
- Elysia Tan, Singapore
The finals of both competitions will be today and the new world champions will be announced.
