MILAN, Italy – More and more companies are venturing into the manual coffee grinder business, but few have the know-how inherited from a leading international enterprise as Pietro Grinders does. This sister company to Fiorenzato srl debuts on market with Pietro, revealed at Melbourne MICE and later confirmed at the New York Coffee Festival and many other exhibitions around the world.

A “vertical revolution”, to quote the payoff, is evident in every aspect of the product, from the bottom to the top.

The airtight lid of the coffee bean hopper reveals the solid construction of the body made exclusively from aluminium and food-safe materials.

With a capacity of 60 grams, the hopper connects directly to the grinding chamber underneath, guiding the beans in the right direction. Inside are two vertical flat burrs, a technological breakthrough that sets Pietro apart from the more common conical burrs and launches a challenge to the trade: 58mm diameter, Bohler M340 steel, and manufactured in-house by Fiorenzato, a guarantee of performance and durability.

For its first product, Pietro Grinders has designed two different burr sets: Multipurpose burrs for versatile grinding from espresso to filters, and Pro Brewing burrs specifically designed to deliver the best results for this type of extraction method.

Access to the grinders for ordinary maintenance, changing parts or cleaning is child’s play, just press and rotate. A rear, numbered stepless ring sets the distance between the two in a simple, intuitive way.

After homogeneous grinding, the ground coffee is stored in a magnetically sealed container that preserves all the aromas. A non-slip base is also included, to ensure that the grinder is stable during operation.

The Pietro hand grinder is designed with ergonomics in mind, and features clean-cut lines that enhance its solidity and functionality.

An example is the practical retractable side lever that closes when not in use. The product was designed by V12 Design, Milan, the studio behind the restyling of Fiorenzato’s logo presented in 2022.

Another gem that wowed audiences during the presentation of Pietro was its colour scheme: the company proposed 12 shades and conducted an online survey to choose the ones with the most votes for its official range. This resulted in six official colours: Pure Silver, Deep Black, Artic White, Forest Green, Pastel Blue and Dusty Pink.

Pietro has received excellent reviews since its debut, also thanks to the company’s social media posts illustrating the features of a truly different manual coffee grinder that is set to lead a revolution in the trade and raise the bar of performance and design.

Pietro is available for pre-order now on pietrogrinders.com and it will be possible to try it during the Sigep exhibition from 21th-25th January at Stand 188, Hall D1.
