MILAN, Italy – BWT supports Let’s Talk Coffee 2023, a unique 3 day event that brings together leaders from across the coffee supply chain to build strong, meaningful relationships at a premier origin location. This year’s edition will be held from February 20th to 25th in Copan Ruinas, Honduras.
BWT at Let’s Talk Coffee
During the event, participants coming from around the world will engage with the key leaders who are shaping the coffee industry and driving change across the specialty coffee supply chain, from the plantation all the way to the final cup.
For this year’s edition, BWT will contribute directly to the vast selection of key-note speakers with Sergio Barbarisi, International Global Coffee Key Account Manager.
As part of the original core team who founded Water+More in 2006, his profound knowledge of water filtration within the coffee industry will be the basis of a presentation and discussion about water for coffee.
Active in the region of Honduras together with partners from Accademia del Caffe Espresso, Sergio has worked with water quality both at the origin during the processing and cupping moments, as well as in local markets when the coffee is treated by roasters, baristas and coffee lovers.
Let’s Talk Coffee is powered by Sustainable Harvest, a green coffee importer based in Portland, Oregon whose core mission is to support producers and roasters with traceable, transparent trading
Founded in 1997, Sustainable Harvest imports specialty coffees from around the world with a focus on creating transparent relationships that increase value throughout the supply chain while fostering greater sustainability.
The role of Sergio Barbarisi representing BWT is very much in line with the objective of the event and its creators.
Improving water quality at the origin during cupping moments will help enhance the value of the product introduced in the supply chain, and managing the same water quality around the world will ensure that the same quality found at the origin can be sustained globally.
