GOTHENBURG – The world’s greatest coffee roasters, brewers and baristas will gather in Gothenburg during Midsummer Week next June when the Speciality Coffee Association of Europe (SCAE) hosts five major international coffee championships.
The competitions will take place at World of Coffee, SCAE’s flagship coffee event, which brings thousands of coffee professionals from over 100 countries around the world together each summer to exchange ideas, source products and learn about the latest developments in the industry at Europe’s premier coffee event.
Taking place at the Swedish Exhibition & Congress Centre, Gothenburg, on 16-18 June 2015, The Nordic World of Coffee will see the most talented baristas, brewers, roasters and mixologists from across the globe put their skills to the test as they compete in the World Cup Tasters Championship, World Coffee Roasting Championship, World Latte Art Championship, World Coffee in Good Spirits Championship and World Brewers Cup.
The competitors will earn the right to represent their home countries in the prestigious competitions after triumphing in the national heats of each event in early 2015.
The five championships, produced by World Coffee Events, are among the most hotly-contested and highly-anticipated competitions in the global coffee calendar and form part of a busy schedule of events at World of Coffee Gothenburg 2015.
SCAE’s hugely popular education programme, which sold out in 2014, will return next year, along with the SCAE Excellence Awards, New Products of the Show Awards and SCAE’s annual Photography Competition.
