INTERNATIONAL SPACE STATION – Even drinking a simple cup of water may represent a problem in space. In a zero-gravity environment like the International Space Station, liquids float around in blobs that are difficult to handle. As a solution, astronauts use straws to drink from sealed pouches.

However, in a demostration, NASA astronaut Nicole Mann used a special space cup that takes advantage of fluid dynamics to drink a cappuccino in the International Space Station.
The principle of the NASA space cup is just like the normal cups here on Earth, however, instead of relying on gravity, it uses a combination of surface tension and cup geometry.
This special cup will allow astronauts to drink a vast variety of drinks , making their missions and their lives easier.
