BINASCO, Milan (Italy) – Gruppo Cimbali, one of the leading manufacturers of professional machines for making coffee and milk-based drinks, as well as coffee shop equipment, renews its commitment to training and formation in the world of coffee through a monthly event curated by the training area of its Technical Service department: a newsletter sent to all those interested with a series of content pills and infographics, useful for outlining concepts underlying the operation of coffee machines.

Gruppo Cimbali renews its commitment to training and formation

The goal of this project is to create a communication bridge between all professionals of the sector, conveying a common language within the community of coffee lovers.

January’s meeting, the first in this series, was dedicated to sharing the Coffee Technician Wheel: first presented at the “Coffee Technician Guild” technical summit in Florence in 2022, this wheel is a tool that combines sensory elements and technical parameters to help understand which variables influence the extraction of each espresso.

The second instalment of the newsletter, by contrast, explored the topic of the hydraulic circuit, the set of components underlying the brewing of the perfect espresso. A straightforward infographic provides an understanding of the workings and logic behind the latest brewing technologies. The technical e-learning used in Gruppo Cimbali’s Technical Service high-level training courses was also made available free of charge in this occasion.

The quality of Gruppo Cimbali’s technical training is evidenced by the certifications and methodologies used to enrich learning: the course design is ISO 9001 certified and is based on Adult Learning teaching methodologies. The training objective of the educational project is framed within a vision of ‘Lifelong learning’ that aims to offer not only classroom notions, but continuous cultural stimuli that are embodied in projects such as the one proposed.

A third release is planned in the coming days, realized in collaboration with MUMAC, Gruppo Cimbali’s Coffee Machine Museum; in this occasion, the focus will be on the history of coffee machines, by recounting the main personalities of this world and the innovations of which they were creators.
