SEATTLE, Wash., USA – The professional baseball team of the Seattle Mariners and Starbucks Coffee Company announced a new multi-year partnership that designates Starbucks as the exclusive coffee provider for the club. Starting May 22, fans will be able to enjoy a wide-range of Starbucks beverages throughout T-Mobile Park.

Within this partnership, the Mariners and Starbucks will work together to make a positive impact in the community by addressing two core challenges – housing access and food security.

“We’re thrilled to partner with an iconic Seattle brand and bring Starbucks incredible products to our fans,” said Catie Griggs, Seattle Mariners President of Business Operations. “In addition to improving the ballpark experience, our two organizations are looking forward to teaming up together to support nonprofits who are working tirelessly to provide hunger relief and eliminate homelessness in our Pacific Northwest community.”

“As neighbors in SODO, Starbucks is committed to uplifting the hometown community we serve, elevating the fan experience, and cheering on the team,” said Kyndra Russell, Starbucks SVP of Marketing. “Creating memorable experiences for our customers at the ballpark is at the core of this renewed partnership here in Seattle.”

As part of the housing access initiatives, six local nonprofits supporting housing access efforts will have the opportunity to invite the families they serve to attend their first Mariners game with access to free shuttle transportation, ballpark meal vouchers and Mariners and Starbucks merchandise. Additionally, the Mariners and Starbucks will create and deliver care packages to the residents of Plymouth Housing this Winter.

To help fill the food scarcity gap in our community, the Mariners and Starbucks will host Backpack Brigade’s “Ending Weekend Hunger” volunteer events, as well as host a “Strike Out Hunger Food Drive” at T-Mobile Park and Starbucks stores to collect food for Northwest Harvest and raise awareness about the work that still needs to be done to help end hunger in the Pacific Northwest.

At T-Mobile Park, the two organizations will celebrate the inspiring stories of kindness seen in the ballpark and in Starbucks stores around the community as well as join together on other major moments throughout the season.
