PARIS, France – From 21 to 23 June, the first edition of the Vending Show took place in Paris, marking a successful return for the French Vending Association (NAVSA) after a four-year hiatus due to the pandemic. Building upon the success of previous editions of the French Vending Show, called Vending Paris, NAVSA collaborated with Venditalia to organise this highly anticipated event at Porte de Versailles in a remarkably short span of time.

Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, the Vending Show garnered a strong presence of exhibitors, including an impressive international turnout, especially from Italy and China. The show attracted a substantial number of attendees, and exhibitors expressed their satisfaction with the first edition of the revamped event.

Throughout the three-day show, NAVSA organised captivating speaker sessions and panel discussions, providing valuable insights and food for thought to vending operators. On the final day, a panel discussion on the forthcoming Regulation on packaging and packaging waste took place, featuring esteemed participants such as EVA Board member Antonio Tartaro, EVA Director General Erwin Wetzel, Matti Rantanen from EPPA, Delphine Close from UNESDA, and Olivier Lecoq from Maxicoffee. The panelists shed light on the potential measures that could impact vending operators’ businesses, fostering discussions on the industry’s future.

On 21 June, NAVSA held its general assembly meeting, during which a new board composed of 22 members was elected. NAVSA members agreed to expand the board’s size and representation from the industry, allowing more committed individuals the opportunity to contribute to NAVSA’s activities. Anne Caron, a prominent operator and roaster, was elected as the new president, bringing fresh perspectives and leadership to the association.

The European Vending & Coffee Service Association (EVA) joined forces with NAVSA, sharing a booth at the Vending Show. EVA representatives had the opportunity to reconnect with members, engage with potential partners, and strengthen ties with NAVSA colleagues. Pierre Albrieux, who served as president for eight years, bid an emotional farewell, and his contributions were acknowledged and celebrated by all. The Vending Show served as an excellent platform for industry professionals to network, explore innovations, and lay the foundation for future collaborations.

NAVSA’s commitment to reviving this essential event, coupled with the support of its partners and stakeholders, sets the stage for a promising future, embracing new opportunities and driving growth.
