OCCHIOBELLO, Italy – In recent years, coffee roasting technology has been experiencing a major evolution, with multiple different solutions popping up on the market. IMF Roasters, Italian company producing state-of-the-art roasting machines and complete processing plant, has emerged as frontrunner in this trend, boasting a plethora of features that satisfy the growing demands of coffee enthusiasts, ensuring the production of consistently high-quality coffee beans.
With the MICE Exhibition soon taking place in Melbourne this August, IMF had a word with Will Notaras, owner at Roastquip Australasian agent and reseller of the Occhiobello-based manufacturer, who has recently installed a number of IMF roasters, helping customers with the installation, commissioning and training of their roasters.
With a passion for delivering top-notch coffee roasting solutions, Will has been having a significant impact on Australia’s coffee scene, selling over 70 plants since 2013. The last couple of months were quite a journey for him installing four state-of-the-art coffee roasters in different cities across the country:
Fox Coffee RM60 – Brisbane
The first stop on Will’s installation schedule was Fox Coffee in Brisbane, a vibrant and bustling city known for its thriving coffee culture. Fox Coffee, already a popular destination for coffee enthusiasts, needing to expand its roasting capacity in order to meet the growing demand for its artisanal blends, chose a RM60 automatic coffee roaster, a cutting-edge machine that promises to elevate the volumes of Fox Coffee’s fine roasts.
Supreme Roasters RM60 – Gold Coast
Next on the itinerary was the sunny Gold Coast, where Will and the Roastquip team set up another RM60 automatic coffee roaster at Supreme Roasters. With commitment to sourcing the finest beans and delivering premium coffee to their loyal customers, Supreme Roasters sought to scale up their operations. Will’s expertise and the IMF’s precision-engineered roasting equipment proved to be the perfect match for Supreme Roasters’ ambitions.
Roberto’s Coffee RM60 – Sydney
In the bustling metropolis of Sydney, Will installed a third RM60 automatic coffee roaster at Roberto’s Coffee. Driven by the desire to have more control over the quality and the roasting process, Roberto Enriquez made a bold decision, investing in a new IMF RM60 roaster, allowing him to roast larger batches of specialty coffee in-house with incredible consistency. The move paid off, garnering praise from loyal customers.
Niugini Arabica RM15 – Canberra
The last leg of Will’s installation journey took him to the nation’s capital, Canberra, where he installed a RM15 coffee roaster at Niugini Arabica (Niugini is pidgin English for New Guinea). The RM15 shop roaster allows Niugini Arabica to conduct smaller batch roasts with utmost precision onsite in their cafe. Niugini Arabica now has the tools to continue their mission of promoting exceptional coffee from the highlands of Papua New Guinea.
Will Notaras from Roastquip has been extremely active in the Australian coffee industry, with his recent whirlwind of installations. From the bustling streets of Brisbane to the sunny shores of the Gold Coast, and the vibrant cities of Sydney and Canberra, Will’s dedication and expertise have been instrumental in helping these esteemed coffee establishments take their roasting capabilities to new heights.
With the 3x60kg + 1x15kg installations in the last two months, coffee enthusiasts can expect an even more exceptional coffee experience from Fox Coffee, Supreme Roasters, Roberto’s Coffee, and Niugini Arabica. The coffee industry is evolving rapidly, and one of the key drivers of this transformation is technological innovation leading to an enhancement of the roasting process.
IMF will showcase its groundbreaking and innovative roasters at MICE Melbourne International Coffee Expo 2023, the biggest coffee-related event in southern hemisphere, displaying the RM60 and RM15 models together with its Australasian importer Roastquip, with both roasters on display already pre-sold to two fortunate Melbourne customers.
