SINGAPORE – The latest edition of the highly anticipated Singapore National Coffee Championship (SNCC) 2023, organised by the Singapore Coffee Association (SCA) was held on 26 to 28 September 2023 at the Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Centre, in conjunction with the Speciality Coffee & Tea Asia 2023.
A total of four competitions were organised during the latest edition of the Championship. The competitions include Santino Singapore National Barista Championship 2023 (SNBC) and the Singapore National Brewers Cup 2023 (SNBRC) which were also held last year, and the return of the Singapore National Latte Art Championship 2023 (SLAC), and the Singapore Cup Tasters Championship 2023 (SCTC), which were not included in the 2022 edition of SNCC.
The champions of this edition of the Singapore National Coffee Championship are:
- Santino Singapore National Barista Championship 2023 Champion – Courtney Kheng from Glyph Supply Co
- Singapore National Brewers Cup 2023 Champion – Alistair Seetho from Alchemist
- Singapore National Latte Art Champion 2023 Champion – Jervis Tan from Oaks Coffee Co.
- Singapore Cup Tasters Championship 2023 Champion – Terence Tan from Tad Coffee
Over the course of three days, 70 of the brightest local baristas showed off their skills for the chance to be crowned as one of the Champions and earn the opportunity to represent Singapore at the upcoming World Coffee Championships.
“I am heartened to see so many talented baristas competing to put their best cup of coffee for our judges, and after the 3 days of competition, we have found our four Champions that will represent Singapore!” said Mr Victor Mah, President of the Singapore Coffee Association.
SNCC 2023 was held in conjunction with the Speciality Coffee & Tea Asia 2023, part of the Speciality Food & Drinks Asia 2023, the premier food and beverage show in Asia organised by Montgomery Asia.
