McDonald’s Korea on Monday announced that it would raise the price of some of its best-selling menu items by an average of 1.89 percent starting Feb. 23.
“This has been an inevitable decision. We have been struggling to provide the best products and services despite the soaring (prices of) ingredients, logistics and other costs but could not help it,” an official at McDonald’s Korea told The Korea Herald.
The U.S. fast food giant has announced price raises every February since 2011. Its prices have been raised by a similar amount each time.
On the other hand, McDonalds Korea reduced the price of its coffee-based beverages by up to 20.7 percent in January.
