HELSINKI, Finland — Paulig had a historically successful year in 2023. The company’s financial performance improved significantly due to increased sales, excellent operational efficiency and a favourable business environment. Paulig also made strong progress towards its ambitious sustainability targets.
Key figures in 2023
- Paulig’s revenue increased by 5.6% to EUR 1,167.6 million (1,105.5)
- Of the total revenue, 49 (52) % came from the Nordic countries and 51 (48) % from other countries
- Comparable EBITDA grew by 57.2% and totalled EUR 137.2 million (87.3), which was 11.8% of revenue (7.9)
- IFRS operating profit increased to EUR 90.1 million (5.8)
- Net profit was EUR 89.1 million (-19.9)
- Cash flows from operating activities (IFRS) increased by 104.0% and totalled EUR 125.9 million (61.7)
In 2023, Paulig achieved a 22% greenhouse gas emissions reduction in its own operations compared to the 2018 baseline.
The company also launched a unique climate fund, added nature actions to its sustainability focus areas and continued implementing other climate actions together with partners and suppliers.
