BUSAN, South Korea – The final countdown to the World Barista Championship 2024 has begun and with just days before the competitions take center stage at the WOC Busan exhibition site, the baristas coming from all corners of the world have begun to warm up their engines at the 2024 Barista Base Camp. After last year’s experience in Athens, this unique “pre-competition” format has been organized once again by the group of official sponsors of the WBC for the 2022-2025 period.
With the community spirit in mind, BWT water+more, Barista Attitude and Victoria Arduino have joined forces once again to create a common practice area where all competitors could test out the equipment, their coffees and routines before the official competition, preparing for the baristas 4 work stations, active for 4 whole days from 8 am to 8 pm, with 2 hour shifts in order to provide over 190 hours of practice time for the competitors of the World Barista Championship.
As official equipment providers and sponsors, BWT Water+More, Barista Attitude and Victoria Arduino will be part of the worldwide coffee community and support SCA in the World Barista Championships 2024 in Busan and strive to provide the very best equipment and service to the competing baristas and in general to their customers using the most advanced technologies found in the coffee industry today.
At the Barista Base Camp, their international teams were on hand to assist the competitors with any information and support on site needed.
For the 2024 competition, the sponsors have chosen a very unique location in the city of Busan – and more specifically in the port area of Youngdo. Momos coffee is a popular café known for its cozy atmosphere and high-quality coffee, characterized by its stylish and modern design, which invites guests to linger and relax with a variety of specialty coffees, including hand-brewed coffee and various coffee blends.
