ROCKVILLE, MD, USA – Mayorga Coffee is proud to announce that Eduardo Choza, the company’s Director of Coffee, will compete at the World Coffee Roasting Championship from 27 to 29 June at World of Coffee Copenhagen in Denmark.
After being named the best roaster in the US at the Specialty Coffee Association-sanctioned US Coffee Roasting Championship, Eduardo will go on to represent the United States at the World Coffee Roasting Championship.
The final event, hosted at this year’s European World of Coffee trade show, brings together over 80 of the world’s top competitors to determine the best coffee roaster in the world.
Eduardo Choza will compete for the world title in a rigorous three-stage event where certified judges evaluate green coffee grading skills, roast profile development, and overall coffee quality.
“It’s an honour to represent Mayorga Coffee, the United States, and Latinos in the World Coffee Roasting Championship,” Eduardo says. “Over the last few weeks, I have developed my roasting skills even further, intentionally practised roasting in smaller batches, and cupped all of my coffees to assess quality and flavour.”
