To speed up the implementation of the company’s strategy the Supervisory Board of Tchibo GmbH has appointed three new members to the Management Board. Senay Tansu (45) will take over responsibility for the realignment of the Non Food business.

She succeeds Dr Sven Groos, who after seven years as head of Non Food will be taking on new responsibilities outside the company. Senay Tansu successfully established and developed Tchibo in Turkey over the past decade.

Earlier, she had held executive positions at companies including the Inditex Group. With 60 Tchibo shops and a growing online business, Tchibo is today regarded as one of Turkey’s most flourishing retailers.

Tchibo has created the two new sales departments – ‘Online’ and ‘International’ – with the aim of accelerating its successful eCommerce activities and internationalisation.

Responsibility for the e-commerce business, which is growing in the double digits, has been assigned to Ines von Jagemann (40), who has been with Tchibo for four years, and has been driving forward the development of the digital marketing platforms of Tchibo until now.

In Carsten Wehrmann (46), Tchibo has appointed an internationally experienced brand and retail expert as Managing Director International. Carsten Wehrmann worked at Lindt & Sprüngli for nearly 20 years, among other things as Managing Director in Austria, Denmark and Poland. He most recently served as CEO of the DF World of Spices Group.

To strengthen the company’s position as one of the world’s leading coffee brands, Dr Markus Conrad will, in addition to his duties as Chief Executive Officer, supervise the core business Coffee and the management of the Tchibo brand.

Patrick Raming, who has been in charge of the coffee business and central brand management since 2013, is leaving the company due to differing opinions about the business.

“By making these changes, we are setting the course for the Tchibo Group to grow, with an emphasis on online, internationalisation and coffee.

I am very pleased about the appointment of two successful female executives to the Management Board”, says Professor Reinhard Pöllath, member of the Tchibo GmbH Supervisory Board and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of maxingvest ag.
