The Coffee Association of Canada is pleased to announce its sponsorship of both The Canadian Barista Championship and The Canadian Latte Art Championship, taking place at The Canadian Coffee & Tea Show on October 4 & 5, 2015 in Vancouver.
“As the leading voice in the Canadian coffee industry, we feel it is important to be actively involved not only in The Canadian Coffee & Tea Show itself, but also in the national championship events for baristas,” says Lesya Balych-Cooper, Interim President of the Coffee Association of Canada.
“The passion, creativity, and professionalism exhibited in the national competitions are tremendously impressive, and clearly elevate the craft of the barista in Canada, as well as coffee as a beverage.”
Ms. Balych-Cooper will also be moderating an entertaining and lively session featuring astute industry veterans John Neate of JJ Bean, Dave Ovenell of Bunn Canada, and James Zannet of Gerhards Importers as they discuss the latest news, trends, fads and industry movements as well as the top ways for retail operators to improve their businesses.
Be sure to catch them all on the “Be-coffee-up-to-date” panel on Sunday October 4, 2015, at 11:15am.
