The Global Coffee Forum 2015, ended with an attendance of 510 people over a two day period and significant national and international media coverage. The international coffee event was held on 30th September and 1st October.

It saw numerous worldwide experts filling the Auditorium of the Congress Centre Stella Polare in Rho Fiera, Milan, and ended its first edition with a positive sign and a call for the Global Coffee Forum to continue in the foreseeable future.

There was great interest regarding the themes discussed over the two-day debate: market opportunities, relations between coffee and health, social and consumer trends, in addition to, enjoyment, sustainability and climate change.

Besides being relevant issues for discussion within the coffee sector, these are also important subjects for coffee lovers to reflect upon for a more self-aware consumption of the world’s most consumed beverage.

The hope for the event to take place once again was highlighted by the celebrations on 1st October both at the Expo Milano 2015 and worldwide of the first International Coffee Day sponsored by ICO (International Coffee Organisation) and Oxfam.
