CHICAGO, IL –NAMA announced yesterday it has added an interactive micro market panel to this year’s Coffee, Tea and Water (CTW) show. The CTW show will be held November 12-14, 2013, at the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center in Nashville, Tenn.
The micro market panel, Hot & Iced Beverage Programs for Micromarkets, will be moderated by Terry Touchton, VP of Sales and Marketing at Vistar. Touchton will discuss the various iced and hot beverage options available to micro market operators.
According to a 2013 study from national research firm Bachtelle & Associates, micro markets in the United States grew by 170 percent between 2011 and 2012, and it’s expected there will be 35,000 locations within the next decade.
The Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center “Micro market operators have said managing the hot and iced beverage program is one of their biggest challenges,” said Roger Stewart, NAMA’s director of coffee & water service. “I think this panel is beneficial for operators who have micro markets, as well as anyone interested in this new revenue opportunity.”
Touchton will be joined on the panel by several successful micro market operators who can share valuable knowledge gained from their experiences and field questions. Attendees will want to stick around after the panel for Ross Colbert’s keynote address In Pod We Trust.
“NAMA’s commitment to micro markets has been impressive,” Stewart said. “Between hosting a micro market seminar at this year’s OneShow that attracted more than 300 attendees, to going on the road to host multiple micro market operational seminars, NAMA has worked to ensure its members are kept up to date on this evolving revenue channel.”
