MILAN – Colombia is almost ready to launch a new fund to stabilise coffee prices paid to producers. The scheme may be announced next month and become operational in 2017. The mechanism, which is meant to limit sharp drops in prices, won’t create a minimum threshold price, according the head of the Colombian Federation of Coffee Growers (Fnc) Roberto Velez.
