PORTLAND, OR, U.S. — Global restaurateur HMSHost, in partnership with JV Ventures, has been awarded a 10-year contract by the Port of Portland to continue serving Starbucks® coffee to the millions of travelers making their way through Portland International Airport each year.

“HMSHost has a longstanding partnership with Starbucks Coffee Company in airports throughout North America and we are very excited for the opportunity to continue serving premium coffee to Portland travelers,” said HMSHost Vice President of Business Development Amy Dunne.

“Portland International Airport has been a great partner and we look forward to working together for many years to come.”

Pre-security guests will have access to Starbucks beverages and snacks with a new convenient location scheduled to open in fall 2016 in the South ticket lobby area at the top of the escalators leading to/from the airport’s light rail stop.

Also scheduled to open this fall is a post-security Starbucks® store in Concourse C– a perfect location for easy access to premium coffee on the go or to relax and enjoy a cup before departure. HMSHost will operate a third new Starbucks® store on Concourse E which will open this winter.

“We’re pleased that HMSHost will operate the three Starbucks® stores located in PDX,” said Chris Czarnecki, Port general manager of aviation business and properties.

“In our most recent round of concession awards, we focused on companies that could deliver an exceptional customer experience. We also paid close attention to quality employers who appreciate the value each employee brings to the job.”

Under separate leases, HMSHost will continue to operate Rogue Ales Pub that offers an array of local ales, world class spirits, and pub fare in the airport’s Concourse D, and the existing Starbucks location on Concourse A.
