TORONTO – Internationally-recognized pioneer in highest quality premium portioned coffee, Nespresso, has opened the doors of its second Flagship Boutique Bar in Canada, and the first in the country’s largest city, Toronto.

The revered brand unveiled a unique 14,122 square foot retail space in the prestigious Yorkville neighbourhood, immersing shoppers in an indulgent, multi-sensory experience where they can discover the entire Nespresso offering and enhance their own coffee experience.

“We are thrilled to open our second flagship boutique in Canada in one of its most prestigious neighbourhoods that is steeped in history and has been the backdrop for countless unforgettable moments,” said Mr. Jacques Demont, President, Nespresso Canada.

“There is a real shift in trends on how Canadians consume coffee. Many, above all else, are looking for an ultimate quality experience and to bring the barista concept home. We have been in the market for a mere five years but have been warmly welcomed by coffee lovers across the country and are excited to continue expanding our offering year over year.”

Nespresso has built its success on creating the highest quality Grand Cru coffees, long-lasting consumer relationships and sustainable business success – key growth drivers for the brand in a dynamic and growing portioned coffee category.

The Nespresso Boutique Bar, located at 159 Cumberland Street, is designed to specifically enhance the customer experience and Torontonian’s increasing desire for quality coffee.

The Boutique Bar was designed by Italian architect Aldo Parisotto of Parisotto e Formenton and built by Goring and Straja SRL in Milan (who counts the world’s top luxury brands as clients); the two-story open concept structure features an impressive floor to ceiling glass façade storefront.

For the first time in Canada, the Toronto Flagship Boutique Bar includes a Recycling Station, where consumers can drop off used capsules, and the N Pad Bar where guests can interact with the brand through a dynamic application that even creates personalized capsule art.

The interactive space includes all the elements identified with Nespresso boutiques, inspired by the vibrant colours of the Grand Cru coffees and sleek lines of its coffee machines. Exclusive to Nespresso, the interior lounge furniture, including the Egg chair and Favh sofa, is designed by Fritz Hansen for all its Boutique Bars around the world.

Customers visiting the Toronto flagship Boutique Bar will have the opportunity to enjoy premium quality coffee experiences, savour a light menu of primarily locally sourced sweet and savoury fare from local Chef

Jean-Charles Dupoire of Loire Restaurant, and relax in the state-of-the-art space.

Key highlights include:

The Boutique Bar: Serving the premium 21 Grand Cru coffees, espresso and espresso-based coffee recipes, as well as a light breakfast, lunch and dinner menu of primarily locally sourced sweet and savoury fare.
