LONDON, UK – World coffee exports recovered strongly in August from July’s multi-year lows reaching a volume of 9.757 million bags, up 9.5% on year and 26.2% on the previous month. Exports of Arabicas recorded a 17.3% surge year-on-year to 6.346 million bags.
Other Milds saw the steepest increase, up 31.3% to 2.129 million bags on improved volumes from Central America and Peru.
Exports of Colombian Milds surged 17.4% to 1.331 million bags, back to normal levels after a deep drop in July due to a 45-day trucker strike in Colombia.
