CHICAGO – NAMA announced on Tuesday that Joe Webster of Newco Enterprises in St. Charles, Mo., has been voted this year’s NAMA Coffee Legend. A NAMA Coffee Legend is a pioneer, an innovator, a leader and a visionary in the industry.
They are passionate about coffee and are willing to share that passion to educate and help others succeed. One winner is chosen each year by NAMA’s Coffee Service Committee.
The Webster and Vittoe families founded Newco in 1974. They noticed a market for office coffee brewer replacement parts and built a successful business through a loyal customer base.
Newco has earned a solid reputation in the office coffee service and food service markets through the development of innovative products designed specifically to meet the unique needs of customers. The company operates in a 120,000 square foot facility located in Saint Charles, Mo.
“Joe is an excellent choice as this year’s Coffee Legend,” said Roger Stewart, NAMA’s director of coffee and water service. “Joe has instilled a family oriented, customer driven culture that is active every day at Newco.
The company employs 160 associates who are known for their ability to deliver high quality products and beverage solutions to customers.”
Webster will receive the Coffee Legend award at next week’s Coffee, Tea and Water show at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville, Tenn. The award will be presented by CTW co-chairs Pete Tullio and Howard Fischer.
“It’s an honor to receive the NAMA Coffee Legend award,” Webster said after learning of the award. “This is really an award for all of Newco. I’m proud to work with these folks every day.”
NAMA, founded in 1936, is the National Automatic Merchandising Association representing the $42 billion vending, coffee service and foodservice management industries.
