In Chicago, 90 years of know how available to customers

These brief 20-minute seminars, which will be held in Coesia’s booth, aim to provide the public with key information about two of the most important and dynamic sectors of fast-moving consumer goods and their current trends.

The title of the seminar dedicated to sweets is Sweet speed: flexible adaptable packaging for confectionery, which aims to provide an overview of ACMA’s multiple solutions.

The seminar dedicated to the coffee and soluble product sector, till the last drop: manage raw material and utility costs, focuses on the energy saving solutions offered by this technological solution, which preserves the quality of the final product.

Commitment in Confectionery: flexible solutions at different speeds

At the beginning of the year, the Wm600 CC multistyle machine was presented for the packaging of products such as flat bottom chocolates, toffees and sweets.

This unit was designed to meet the specific needs of markets that require medium-speed solutions that are highly flexible and easy to use.

In fact, Wm600 CC makes it possible to wrap products with different shapes, such as bunches, double twist and wallet, guaranteeing perfect packaging also if there are differences between the interior and exterior packaging dimensions.

The offer in the fold wrapping area is rounded out by M888, which is one of the most performing multistyle machines on the market.

It is also suitable for packaging a wide range of products – including sweets, toffees and chocolates of various shapes and sizes – as the M888 is designed to guarantee maximum precision and care when transferring very delicate products during the various wrapping phases.

Capsule filling and bottle filling: energy savings and market versatility

The commitment in the capsule filling sector continues with the development of technologies for packaging coffee in capsules, but with applications suited also for soluble products such as teas and assorted blends.

In this area, the company is completing the design of two new models: Qi200 and Qi400, which will be introduced in addition to the medium and high speed Qi500 and Qi1000L models.

The new machines will be presented next year and will cover the needs of companies searching for low speed solutions.

The new Qi machines will be able to fill 4-element capsules and will operate according to the principle that involves covering the capsule with a bed of gas.

The new machines has been designed to guarantee savings in material and operating costs.

ACMA renovates its offer in bottle filling: the WMM platform has been implemented for use with all types of products required by the market.

For example, the unit can be equipped with anti-foam and anti-corrosive characteristics, which are particularly suited for products of the Personal & Home Care, or with a specific technology for the applications in Oil & Sauces and Dairy market.

Also in this case, the technological innovations applied to the machine are focused on savings in operating costs, resulting from reductions in energy costs and improvements in line efficiency.

Technological sharing for innovative solutions

The variety of sectors in which ACMA operates makes it possible for customers to benefit from the integration of skills and technologies within the company.

For example, ACMA has created a system for packaging coffee in filter paper using the T2 platform, which is a machine developed for packaging tea in teabags.

This application, which was based on the flexibility of the original design, takes advantage of the company’s experience in the area of product and raw material handling; the machine has been equipped with particular units able to handle coffee, including a new dosing system.
