BIRMINGHAM, Ala., U.S. – Royal Cup, Inc., a leading importer, roaster and distributor of premium and specialty coffees and teas, today announced an exciting new partnership with Neverthirst, an international nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing clean water to underserved populations.

The partnership is designed to fund the construction of wells and provide water filtration systems in Sudan, South Sudan, Nepal, Cambodia, Chad and India.

“It’s an honor to align ourselves with Neverthirst and their mission to bring clean, filtered water to geographic regions in dire need of sustainable water access,” said Howard Chapman, president of Royal Cup’s Office Beverage Division.

“Our Roar coffee pods were designed in spirit of sustainability, and we’re proud to donate two pennies from each serving sold to a cause our entire organization is committed to supporting.”

Royal Cup’s Roar line includes both coffee pods and whole bean coffees. Based on current and anticipated sales volumes, Royal Cup expects to generate high six-figures for Neverthirst within the first year. Current customers need only to continue drinking Roar coffee to propel this initiative forward and help those most in need.

“Since Neverthirst launched in 2008, we have completed over 5,800 projects and provided clean, filtered water to nearly 400,000 underserved people in six developing countries,” said Brandon Gossett, director of development at Neverthirst.

“This new, unique partnership with Royal Cup is a game changer for our efforts in these regions, and will empower us to positively impact more individuals and communities in dire need of clean water and filtration systems.”

According to the World Health Organization, more than 3.4 million people die every year as a direct result of unclean drinking water. Neverthirst, powered by Royal Cup’s Roar coffee, aims to significantly slash these alarming statistics, and provide life-saving access to live-giving water.
