La Marzocco has been selected as one of the winners of the 8th Annual Sprudgie Awards.
The Italian manufacturer of high end, hand-crafted professional espresso coffee machines based in Scarperia (Florence) triumphed in the category Best New Café. The award went to La Marzocco Café & Showroom, that opened in April 2016 in Seattle.
The 1,100-square-foot retail café space is located at the Seattle Center, just around the corner from the iconic Space Needle. The cafe shares space with radio station’s KEXP new home.
Organized by Sprudge, the Annual Sprudgie Awards honour the best in coffee.
Nominees for each category are chosen by a worldwide public ballot. Public voting for the Sprudgies took place over several weeks in December 2016, with the ballot box closing at 11:59 PM on Sunday, January 1st.
