MONTREAL, Canada – InterCafé Burundi supported by the World Bank asked TGEP Inc. is organizing a visit next month to rediscover and appreciate the development and the quality of Café du Burundi.
The journey will start in Bujumbura and visit the main Production centers of the country, Gitega, Ngozi, Kayanza & al.
The 5 days visit includes a Welcome session in Bujumbura, Visits to the Washing stations, Cupping sessions, plus visits to the Ngozi and Gitega Mills.
Since the harvest is underway, it will be possible to follow the entire local Supply chain. Most important, meeting and talking to the producers on their locations will be part of the experience.
By invitation only, for roasters with yearly volumes of 100 bags or more; The living expenses (Hotel, Transport and Meals) in Burundi are paid by Inter Café, the Marketing Service of the Ministry of Agriculture; Air transport from your location to Burundi and preparation costs such Visa & Vaccination will be left to the participants.
Brussels Airlines will provide with a direct flight from Brussels on June 25th. A Block booking has been secured from New York on the 24th June.
