LONDON – World coffee exports amounted to 8.49 million bags in October 2013, compared with 9.39 million in October 2012. Exports in this first month of coffee year 2013/14 (Oct/13 to Sep/14) have fallen by 9.6% in comparison with the first month of last coffee year.
In the twelve months ending October 2013, exports of Arabica totalled 68.52 million bags compared to 67.31 million bags last year; whereas Robusta exports amounted to 40.89 million bags compared to 42.17 million bags.
