DUBLIN, Ireland – Nespresso is currently seeking out new locations outside of the capital to expand its presence in Ireland. This was revealed by the company’s chief executive for the UK and Ireland, Francisco Nogueira during his most recent visit to Dublin.

Nogueira told The Irish Times, “We are still looking for different business opportunities. It’s not only about Dublin any more, it’s about the different cities. Irish people are a bit ahead in terms of their understanding of coffee. We are seeing a big shift in terms of consumption. People were usually drinking tea, but now with the new generations there is a big evolution from tea to coffee.”

On top of operating outlets within the Brown Thomas stores in Dublin, Limerick and Cork, a standalone shop on Dublin’s Duke Street, a concession store in Arnotts and a pop-up stand in Dundrum shopping centre, Nespresso also recently started selling its coffee at the Michelin-starred Restaurant Patrick Guilbaud.

Patrick Guilbaud manager Stephane Robin commented that Nespresso’s products provide patrons with “a bespoke coffee drink tailored to their preference.”
