ROME, Italy – Maurizio Cimbali (PICTURE), President of Cimbali Group, the market leader in the design and production of professional machines for making coffee, milk-based drinks and soluble beverages, as well as equipment for coffee bars, received last week the title of Cavaliere del Lavoro (Order of Merit for Labour) at the Quirinal Palace from President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella.
Maurizio Cimbali, a Milanese father-of-two, has been at the helm of the company since 1972, first as Director and then as President, having overseen all the important steps in the company’s evolution: from Officine Cimbali SpA to Cimbali Spa to Gruppo Cimbali SpA in 2004.
The Group, with its two main brands (LaCimbali and FAEMA), operates 3 production facilities, 2 branches in Italy and 7 overseas branches, employing a total of around 700 employees and boasting over 50 active patents.
The company’s numbers are the first indicators of its values: Italian production, global distribution and innovation.
“I like saying that we can and must always do better” is the philosophy of Maurizio Cimbali, who, thanks to his great charisma and dedication to his company, can count on a united, capable team of employees and collaborators, as well as a stable relationship with the managers who are currently leading the Group.
In 2012, for the company’s 100th anniversary, Maurizio Cimbali decided to leave a permanent mark on the industry and on the area: MUMAC was established, an espresso machine museum that boasts the world’s largest collection of unique objects with an innovative design, telling the history of the machines, which have been an international symbol of Italian style since 1901.
MUMAC became the home of the Group’s brands and a place to illustrate the patronage of the company, whose most noble goal is the support of art and culture, while a Library and Academy are devoted to industry professionals and coffee lovers.
Exhibitions, conferences, workshops, events for employees, professional meetings and local openings: MUMAC represents the open and generous style of the company and its President.
The prestigious honour awarded to Maurizio Cimbali today rewards his ability to do business and promote culture and global enterprise, while always remaining firmly rooted in Italy.
