The first Pu’er International Specialty Coffee Expo 2018 will take place in southwest China’s Yunnan Province from January 29-31. The expo will be held in Pu’er City. Participants from more than 20 countries, including will attend.
The event will introduce participants to the emerging Chinese coffee sector and provide an immersive opportunity to understand the history, culture, and flavor of Chinese coffees.
The expo hall, covering an area of 10,000 square meters, will contain 500 booths. More than 300 international and Chinese coffee industry professionals will attend the three-day forum to share knowledge on coffee production, quality, sustainability, pricing, marketing, roasting, and retail operations.
The three-day activity will also include cultural activities and coffee planting bases inspection and research in Pu’er.
Yunnan accounts for over 90 percent of China’s coffee production. Both coffee planting area and the output of coffee in Pu’er City account for 40 percent of the whole planting area and the whole output of the country.
Eighty percent of Pu’er coffee are exported to more than 30 countries and regions across the world.
