BELFORTE DEL CHIENTI, Italy – Simonelli Group has recently inaugurated its new Management Center in Belforte del Chienti, in the province of Macerata, Italy. The 3,000-square-meter headquarters sit next to the company’s manufacturing plant, houses management, administrative and commercial offices.
It was realized using the most modern (structural and architectural) design, with an eye toward employee comfort. Poltrona Frau created the furniture with ergonomic features, whereas ambient lighting, designed by iGuzzini, uses next-generation LED technology aimed at improving energy efficiency while also highlighting architectural characteristics of the spaces.
In addition to management (second floor) and operations (first floor) areas, the Center includes meeting rooms, showrooms for Nuova Simonelli and Victoria Arduino, and a 160-square-meter auditorium. It will soon house the company museum as well.
The new structure, aimed at ensuring greater operational functionality of divisions across the company, has a direct link to the technical innovation area, which has been operating for 12 years.
New Commercial Branch in France
Having established its presence in North America and the Pacific region, Simonelli Group’s new European site in the city of Viviers du Lac, Savoy, France is on the southern bank of the lake of Bourget, not far from Lyons. For years, the market in France has been keen on the continuous innovations in Simonelli Group products.
In Paris alone, high-quality Nuova Simonelli or Victeoria Arduino espresso machines can be seen in the Hotel George V, on the Champs Elysées, and in the Ritz Bar in Place Vendome.
The French offices are run by Nuova Distribution France, which is managed by Nicolas Poirot. In addition to a large showroom and sales area, the building is equipped with a technical atelier which hosts training courses for baristas and technicians.
With its new location, Simonelli Group offers French operators a place to come face to face with state-of-the-art coffee-preparation technologies and to have open dialogues with leading industry professionals.
The Simonelli Group Company
Since the early 2000s, the company has seen significant and consistent growth. With innovative products launched by its two brands (Nuova Simonelli and Victoria Arduino) and positive feedback from the marketplace, the company’s international reputation has been elevated amidst its expansion.
Today, the growth of the company’s manufacturing, sales, commercial networks and human resources has required streamlining of its structure through greater separation of decision-making and executive entities.
This has increased effectiveness and efficiency across company divisions, accelerated and reinforced relationships with international customers, and ensured that the innovation and training resources the Group brings to the coffee industry continue to strengthen its customer relationships and partnerships.
The reorganization started with the decision by the Nuova Simonelli partners to assign company operations to a new industrial entity that brings greater distinction between strategy decisions, which still lay with the company partners, and industry-level operations.
The first step of this reorganization was the establishment of a new company called Simonelli Group SpA, which owns Nuova Simonelli SpA. All product research, design, manufacturing and marketing activities of Nuova Simonelli and Victoria Arduino are under Simonelli Group.
In addition, Simonelli Group owns distribution and marketing at foreign offices, active since 1993 in the USA, since 2015 in Singapore, and starting this year in France.
The first major decision by Simonelli Group was the appointment of a general manager—a position that had not existed before. The role has been given to Eng. Fabio Ceccarani, member of the Board of Directors of Nuova Simonelli.
His function is to bring greater flexibility and efficiency to executive decisions as a link between the company’s administration entities and operating roles, and to focus on further development that will grow the company and its brands internationally.
