SINGAPORE — The ASEAN Coffee Federation (ACF) will be organising the inaugural ASEAN Coffee Symposium (ACS) 2018 on 23 March 2018 at the Marina Bay Sands, Singapore.
In recent years, Asia has been playing a key role in the growth of the global coffee market, with Indonesia taking the lead with a CAGR of 19.6% in the past five years, and Vietnam 14.9%. This has been attributed to the 95% surge in newly launched coffee products between 2011 – 2016. (Mintel, 2017).
With the theme of “ASEAN: The New Frontier for Coffee”, this symposium comes at an opportune time to dive deep into the coffee industry of the region with thought-provoking topics such as the role of women in coffee and sustainability. A high-energy panel discussion with several key members of ACF will also be conducted.
In line with ACF’s vision of being the key industry representative of ASEAN’s coffee industry, the symposium is well-set to be a platform for dialogue through the sharing of market information, discussion of best practices and education.
ACS 2018 is expected to attract 150 delegates from ASEAN shores, from coffee producers to trainers/educators, café owners to baristas.
The symposium is also held in conjunction with Café Asia 2018, the 6th International Café & Bakery Equipment, Supplies & Technology Exhibition and International Coffee & Tea Expo 2018, the 6th International Coffee & Tea Industry Expo.
