MILAN – Colombia’s coffee production in February was 81,000 bags or 6.26% lower on year to 1,212,000 bags, according to the National Federation of Coffee Growers, or FNC.
So far this coffee year (October 2017 – February 2018), cumulative production was 665,000 bags or 9.59% lower than the same period in the previous coffee year, at a total of 6,270,000 bags.
Coffee production during the last 12 months saw a 4% decline to 13.969 million bags.
Coffee exports in February were also down 7.67% to 1,096,000 bags. During the Oct-Feb period, total shipments fell 5.76% or 362,000 bags to 5,921,000 bags.
