ORLANDO, U.S. — Rancilio Group takes part in the two-yearly McDonald’s convention in Orlando. For the occasion, we have interviewed Andrea Mascetti, Sales Director of Rancilio Group.

What opportunities are likely to spring from your participation at this event?

The McDonald’s convention is a pivotal appointment for Rancilio Group. Every two years, it unites  licensees, partners and suppliers at an extraordinary event which, as well as providing an opportunity for a direct interface with the most important companies in the industry, it also guarantees a first class showcase for the presentation of the products and equipment in use in McDonald’s restaurants.

It is a chance to consolidate a strong commercial partnership which is active on various world markets.

The McDonald’s convention

This year, on the stand of Ali Group, together with other official partners of McDonald’s, we present the new fully automatic Egro Next and Rancilio Classe 9.

When did your collaboration with McDonald’s first start?

We started to collaborate in the year 2000. Today we work with McDonald’s on a global level: in Asia, in Middle Eastern countries, in Europe and also in South America.

Egro Next

The acquisition of the Egro brand has widened the horizons of our partnership which, apart from Rancilio branded traditional coffee machines, now also comprises the fully automatic machines. Ours is an extensive product offering which enables us to respond to the differentiated needs of each venue with our various models.

What new activities does the Rancilio Group have in the pipeline?

We have just completed an Asian tour dedicated to the presentation of Egro Next and, at the same time as the McDonald’s convention, we will also be in Seattle at the “Specialty Coffee Expo”. Following the “London Coffee Festival”, we will be presenting the Rancilio Specialty machine to our North American public, as the novelty that marks the official debut of Rancilio Group in the “Specialty Coffee” segment.
