UK-based Solo Coffee has launched a new bag-in-box cold brew as it aims to make “great black coffee more accessible” to consumers.
The coffee is brewed through a 16 hour brewing process and is reported to have a naturally sweet flavor in contrast to traditional hot java.
Cold brew coffee is a favorite amongst many consumers but can be troublesome to prepare, which makes the new packaging from the brand as being perfect for meetings, get togethers or even to keep on hand at home.
The brand said that its bag-in-box cold brew – which has capacity for 40 servings at the push of a button – is “a UK first”.
Solo Coffee aims to tap into the strong growth potential of the cold brew market. Mintel research published in May revealed that around 20% of global new coffee launches last year was iced and ready to drink, up from 16% from 2016.
Solo Coffee will be stocked in over 300 independent cafes, bars, restaurants in London and south-west England.
