Dunkin’ Donuts and Harpoon Brewery are collaborating to release Dunkin’ Coffee Porter, a 6% ABV, 28 IBU coffee porter brewed with Dunkin’ coffee beans, according to beer labels approved by the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau last week.
The labels show that the beer will be sold in 12-ounce bottles and cans.
“Beloved Dunkin’ coffee brings robust, roast notes to this balanced and smooth coffee porter,” the label reads.
“This porter is our tribute to all the days that Dunkin’ has helped us fire up the brew kettle.”
The beer is described as “toasty, malty and smooth” with dark chocolate and espresso aromas.
A spokesman for Harpoon confirmed the collaboration, saying the brew will be released in the fall.
“As for the filings, Dunkin’ Donuts and Harpoon can confirm that something exciting for fans is brewing, but you’ll have to stay tuned for more details this fall – we promise it’ll be worth the wait,” said Chris Bonacci, Harpoon’s vice president of marketing.
In December 2017, Dunkin’ collaborated with Worcester’s Wormtown Brewery to release a draft-only, taproom exclusive DDark Roasted Brew to celebrate the winter solstice.
