HAMBURG, Germany – Delighted visitors, international flair and the latest trends. Coteca Coffee, Tea, Cocoa Global Industry Expo was held in Hamburg from 10 to 12 October, with 200 exhibitors from some 40 nations showcasing their innovative products and services.

Some 3,600 trade visitors from 75 countries came to the Hamburg Messe to network and do business.

The partnership with the Kaffee Campus of the German Roasters Guild contributed to Coteca’s success again; it is Europe’s only business meeting to bring together the coffee, tea and cocoa industries at one venue.

A wide range of topics and exhibitors

From items of everyday consumption to trend beverages – the choice is enormous and highly international in the coffee, tea and cocoa industries. And Coteca Hamburg presented a correspondingly wide range of topics and exhibitors.

The result was an experience for all the senses at the expo stands and in numerous workshops, lectures and tastings.

The new Speakers’ Corner was a big attraction, giving exhibitors and experts a forum to share their insights with visitors and discuss the industry’s current topics.

The importance of industry meetings

Participants and organisers were unanimous about the importance of this industry meeting.

What is so special about Coteca is that it brings together representatives of the coffee, tea and cocoa industries from all over the world – at a venue in Hamburg, Europe’s number one trading hub. Together with our partner, the Kaffee Campus of the German Roasters Guild, we succeeded in meeting the high expectations of exhibitors and visitors, covering the current industry insights and trends and communicating them from Hamburg to the world,” said Bernd Aufderheide, President and CEO Hamburg Messe und Congress GmbH.

Enver Atabay, Chairman of the German Roasters Guild, summarises: “We are very happy at the great success of the second German Kaffee Campus at Coteca 2018. It was even more lively and better attended than in 2016. We took the opportunity for a wider view in our conferences, workshops and cuppings, and addressed not only coffee subjects but also tea – that was very well received by the expert audience. The overall quality of Coteca is outstanding. That was evident in the many interesting and well-informed discussions we had here.
