PARIS, France — Registration for the 3rd “Gourmet Waters” International Contest AVPA-Paris 2019 is officially open. Considered today as one of the most important water competitions in the world, it is a great stepping stone for all the mineral waters which are rewarded.
In 2018, some 75 still and sparkling waters classified into 6 categories, according to their dry residue rate, shared the votes of the 2nd “Gourmet Waters” International Contest AVPA-Paris 2018 ‘s jury.
This year, the 2019 edition will welcome gourmet waters from the 5 continents, all of which, by their intrinsic quality and the recognized excellence, in their country and internationally, deserve the supreme reward : a gold medal in its category.
To do this, they will have to pass the exams of the technical jury composed of water sommeliers and taste experts. The latter will meet in February in the organoleptic laboratory of the Ecole Ferrandi, a loyal partner of AVPA (Agency for the Valorization of Agricultural Products).
Then a jury composed of chefs and gourmets will divide the selected waters and award the coveted medals. The award ceremony will take place at the city Hall of Paris 4 th district on Thursday 21st of March, just before the World Water Day, in the presence of a floor of ambassadors, personalities of French gastronomy, major distributors and representatives of the sector and the specialized press.
Already, many brands registered, many of which are competing for the first time, confirming if necesary that the now solid reputation of the 3rd “Gourmet Waters” International Contest AVPA-Paris 2019 is beyond the borders and dedicates Paris and the France as the world cradle of gourmet waters.
