INNSBRUCK, Austria – After 4.5 successful years with the Specialty Coffee Association, most recently as Guilds Director, Isa Verschraegen has joined Cropster. Bitten by the coffee vibe in NYC, coffee has been her focus for the last decade. Her work as a barista, wholesale trainer, coffee shop owner and manager in Belgium and in London, have brought her tremendous insights into the challenges of specialty coffee retail businesses and baristas.

Isa’s love for sensorial analysis and tasting have resulted in a Qgrader license as well as wine tasting certifications. She is passionate about people, customer service and the development of expertise in one’s field. This brought her to the SCA where she led the launch of the Barista and Roaster Guilds of Europe, as well as the unification and global strategy of SCA’s guilds. These skills make her the ideal candidate to lead Cropster’s newest product initiative.

Isa will work with coffee shops, roasteries and software experts at Cropster to meet the needs of many customers looking to further integrate their businesses up and down the supply chain. She will focus on research, development and new products designed to make running coffee shops easier and to help them leverage the coming wave of IoT (internet of things) devices.

“I’m excited to be working with Cropster to bring their solutions into coffees shops. There are so many opportunities to help integrate and improve workflows across roasteries, coffee shops and all the new equipment.” says Isa Verschraegen. “It’s an exciting time and I’m already looking forward to helping take the stress out of the work behind the counter.”

“Isa‘s accomplishments in +10 years in specialty coffee make her a great fit for Cropster as it further expands its offerings into cafes.” says Andreas Idl, CEO Cropster GmbH. “Her experience in the retail sector and within the industry’s most important association will ensure Cropster’s offerings in coffee shops are fully aligned with the industries’ needs.”
