MILAN – According to ICO’s statistics, world coffee exports amounted to 11.06 million bags in January 2019, compared with 10.78 million in January 2018, or a 2.6% increase on year.
Shipments of Arabica rose to 6.633 million bags (+2.2%) thanks to larger exports of Brazilian Naturals (12.8%) and Colombian Milds (+14.5%), while Other Milds saw a further 18.9% decrease. Robusta exports rose by a robusta 3.2%.
Exports in the first 4 months of coffee year 2018/19 (Oct/18 to Jan/19) increased by 6.6% to 41.96 million bags compared to 39.36 million bags in the same period in 2017/18.
Arabica volumes rose to 27.261 million bags (+8%).
